What is the M-200 Chair Scale?

The Marsden M-200 is a premium, high capacity chair scale with an extra wide super-sized seat, useful for weighing plus size patients. However, its high accuracy makes it ideal for weighing patients of all sizes. The M-200 bariatric chair scale has a 250kg or 300kg capacity and 50g/100g graduations.

What is a Class III Approved scale?

Class III Approved scales are built, tested, verified and calibrated in order to meet a specific standard. A Class III Approved scale must be used ‘in the determination of mass in the practice of medicine for the purpose of monitoring, diagnosis and medical treatment’, the NAWI directive states. Approved scales are rigorously tested by an EU notified body to assure the user that the scales are accurate and reliable.

Who uses the M-200?

The M-200’s high capacity, and its extra wide seat – more accommodating than standard medical chair scales – make it a common weighing scale for surgical wards. The M-200 is ideal for gaining the weights of frail and restricted mobility patients, meaning it can also be found in many care homes and nursing homes.

The M-200 is very easy to use. Featuring our premium indicator, the scale has three displays, for weight, height and BMI. BMI is calculated by entering the patient’s height, which can be easily done using the full numeric keypad.

The chair scale has hinged armrests and footrests for patient comfort and easy patient transfer, and a comfortable one-piece seat.

The M-200 has two rear brake wheels and fixed wheels at the front. An optional handle is available to aid manoeuvring patients around, and an optional seat belt is also available.
